School is beginning again on tuesday! Yay! I'm happy, because i've missed it.
My schedule will be a lot tighter this year than it was last year, so we'll see how i deal with it.
In other news, i've really begun liking Mika - he's rather odd, but his music is upbeat and outright catchy. His new album came out last week, and its awesome.
A lot of other stuff has happened, but i've not been in a mood to write it all out in much (or really any) detail. I dont think many people really care about the trivial things in my life anyways so i'll just keep most of it to myself, i think.
Alright, i'm gonna go now coz i can't quite stand to be on the computer much longer, i've had little tolerance for it lately. G'nite! |

so i finally got to play sims 3.
its addicting.
ever since, i've been wanting to play it again, but i don't own it. My sister does. So i've been coming up with plots to break into my sisters house while she's working so i can play it.
anyways - i played for like 6 hours straight one night, and made this pretty rad house. it took longer than it needed to because i'm very indecisive about colors and textures for how i want everything to look. And then i got bored at home and decided to recreate the floorplan in paint. dont ask why.
but here it is, just to share:
they've got this really rad huge bathroom that sort of connects to their rooms via this side room where the sinks are, and the whole wall is a mirror. And the kitchen is pretty awesome too. its all modernized.
Anyways - that's my story of my sims 3 obsession.
Maybe I can convince my sister to let me take up residence in her office on her computer while she's at work tonight.
That's a good idea... i'll try it. |

so i bought Regina Spektor's new album yesterday - and i must say, its as awesome as I'd expected.
Although, the first time i listened through it, i was left feeling kind of disjointed, but i figured out that the reason was that the track listing is really poorly done. The songs don't flow well into each other and so at the end of each awesome song, another would start, but too abruptly. So I rearranged it, and now its much more cohesive.
i'm not sure if that's breaking a commandment of the music industry - but I'm willing to take that risk.
i think my favorite track is Machine. Its probably the most intense one ~ and its got all these crazy mechanical sounds in the background, and the chorus is just sweet.
I'll send the songs to you, meli, once you get better internet. Or if we decide to hang out, i could just burn a copy for you and give it to you. And you too, lucy - if you even care. I don't know how you feel about regina spektor. But if you are as cool as i think, then you'll like her.
And on another music related note - Imogen Heaps album will also be out this summer, and Amy Lee just announced a third Evanescence album will be out next year.
So life is really looking up. |

so, as my grandmother retired this year, i had to take pictures of the infamous Lucy and Nick drawings that we did.
Unfortunately, Octy and family did not make it, but the Lu & Ni caricatures have lasted all this time. So here they are - to me remember forever, even though their time will soon be over, and they will soon be erased.

my juries are done.
Voice Jury went really well - despite my horrendously sore throat.
But my Piano Jury went dreadfully. My actual pieces went well, but my scales her awful. They were the worst i've ever done them. It was really irritating - i wanted to punch myself in the face.
and after that, i came home and slept. It was heavenly. |

so my concert was tonight - and it was pretty much awesome. All the choirs were so great - they all stepped it up. And my solo thing went really well. I didn't mess up despite my fears of doing so!
but yes, it went amazingly well.
And now choir is done until fall - and i'm quite sad.
But - not time to worry for that. I've got lots of preparing to do for Juries next week. *sigh*
So i'm off to go practice and then get some sleep! toodles |
